THE WORLD NEEDS MORE NATIVE PLANTS

Here are some resources to help you choose  native plants for your area!

Plants

The Xerces Society  Is the leader in advocating on behalf of threatened, endangered, and at-risk invertebrates and their habitats. From the world’s rarest butterflies, to caddisflies that live solely in one stream, to declining bumble bee populations, the Xerces Society is dedicated to protecting invertebrates and the ecosystems that depend on them. You can view their website here.

Two articles we find helpful

"Attracting Native Pollinators--Protecting North America's  Bees and Butterflies". The Xerces Society Guide. Storey Publishing 2011.

"Gardening with Oregon Native  Plants West of the Cascades", OSU Extension Service publication EC1577, extension.oregonstate.edu/catalog.
